- Lucie is our amazing chief designer. All the beautiful designs you can choose are the results of countless hours and a concentrate of inspiration to make you smile as much as possible. When she is not designing, she loves going to the beach with her beloved dog called Alba, a mix between a husky and a border-collie.
Together, they decided to create a brand that looked like them: cheerful and honest. Their mission is to bring fun into apparel and accessories.
Because no great story ever starts with a salad, we are not going to start doing it here. Arnaud remembers exactly when the idea of creating C’est La Tee crossed his mind. It was few months after starting a new position in Miami. He was looking for a cool gift for his beloved sister for Christmas (without breaking the piggy bank of course 😉). He quickly thought of offering her a tee. In France, there are a lot of cool apparel e-shops with funny messages, but it was really hard to find the same humour or the same design quality. Lucie would probably not have forgiven Arnaud to offer her a t-shirt like the ones he found at this time. He told her later about his frustration at this moment. As fan themselves of tees, they decided to create C’est La Tee: a tremendous dose of creativity and humour made with love put into apparel and accessories.

As French people, we wanted to add a bit of the spicy French culture into the company. Indeed, our humour is based on irony and self-derision which is the cornerstone of the messages we want to display on our creations. As the words "Vie" in French and "Tee" in English are pronounced the same way, we took the world-famous French idiom "C'est La Vie" and swapped it for "C'est La Tee". It allows us to subtly recall our origins and to highlight the fact that our flagship product is the t-shirt.
